Overview
Your profile is your public identity on the platform. It includes information visible to other users, as well as private account settings.
How to Access
- Log in to your account
- Click on your profile photo or name in the header
- Select Edit Profile or navigate to your profile settings
Profile Sections
Basic Information
- Name - Your display name
- Username - Unique identifier for your account
- Bio - Short description about yourself
- Profile Photo - Your avatar displayed to others
- Headline - Brief tagline or title
Contact Information
- Email - Your registered email address
- Phone - Mobile number for notifications
Location and Preferences
- Country - Your country of residence
- City - Your city
- Timezone - For correct display of times
- Language - Your preferred language
Social Links
Add links to your social media profiles:
- Website
- Twitter/X
- Other social profiles
Editing Your Profile
Step 1: Navigate to Edit Profile
Go to your profile page and click the Edit or Settings button.
Step 2: Update Information
Modify the fields you want to change. Some fields may require verification after change.
Step 3: Save Changes
Click Save to apply your changes. A confirmation message will appear.
Profile Visibility
You can control who sees your profile information:
- Public - Visible to all users
- Private - Only visible to connections
- Hidden - Not visible in searches
Troubleshooting
Cannot save profile changes
Solution: Check that all required fields are filled. Some changes may require email verification.
Profile photo not updating
Solution: Clear browser cache and try again. Ensure the image is in a supported format (JPG, PNG, GIF) and under the size limit.
