The language management system allows administrators to configure available languages, set defaults, and manage translations throughout the platform.

Overview

Managing languages involves adding new languages, setting the default language, and configuring which languages are available for users to select.

How to Access

  1. Log in as an administrator
  2. Navigate to Localization in the sidebar
  3. Click on Languages
  4. The languages management interface will open

Prerequisites

  • Administrator role required

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: View Available Languages

You will see a list of all configured languages with their status (active/inactive) and default setting.

Step 2: Add a New Language

Click the Add Language button. Select the language from the dropdown and enter the language code (e.g., en, it, es).

Step 3: Set Default Language

To set a language as the default, click the Set as Default button next to the language. Only one language can be the default.

Step 4: Activate or Deactivate Languages

Toggle the active status to show or hide languages from the user selection. Deactivated languages are not visible to users.

Step 5: Configure RTL Support

For right-to-left languages (Arabic, Hebrew), enable the RTL option. This affects the entire platform layout.

Configuration Options

  • Language Name - Display name of the language
  • Language Code - ISO 639-1 code (e.g., en, fr, de)
  • Status - Active or inactive
  • Is Default - Primary language for the platform
  • RTL Support - Enable for right-to-left languages

Troubleshooting

Issue: Language not appearing in user settings

Solution: Ensure the language is set to Active status.

Issue: RTL not working correctly

Solution: Verify the RTL option is enabled for the specific language.
