Overview
Sync Settings allow you to synchronize your contacts with external services like Google Contacts, Outlook, or CardDAV servers.
How to Access
- Click on Contacts in the left sidebar menu
- Click on Sync Settings
How to Set Up a New Sync
- Click on Sync Settings
- Click Add Sync or New Sync
- Select your Provider:
- Google Contacts
- Outlook
- Apple Contacts (CardDAV)
- Other (CardDAV)
- Click Connect or Authorize
- Log in to your external account if prompted
- Grant permission to access your contacts
- Configure sync options (see below)
- Click Save
Sync Options Explained
- Direction:
- Two-way: Changes sync both ways (recommended)
- One-way to here: Only import from external
- One-way from here: Only export to external
- Frequency:
- Real-time: Sync immediately
- Hourly: Sync every hour
- Daily: Sync once a day
How to Run a Manual Sync
- Click on Sync Settings
- Find your sync connection
- Click the Sync Now button
- Wait for the sync to complete
- You will see the last sync time updated
How to Edit Sync Settings
- Click on Sync Settings
- Find your sync connection
- Click the Edit icon
- Make your changes
- Click Save
How to Delete a Sync Connection
- Click on Sync Settings
- Find your sync connection
- Click the Delete icon
- Confirm the deletion
- Note: This only removes the sync connection, it does not delete your contacts
Conflict Resolution
When the same contact is modified in both places:
- Keep local: Keep your version
- Keep remote: Keep the external version
- Keep newest: Keep the most recently modified
- Keep both: Create duplicate contacts
